While the WPA2 Wi-Fi security standard has served web-users well ever since it was introduced in 2004, there are some notable issues with it that have led to vulnerability issues. 

To solve this, the Wi-Fi Alliance developed WPA3 in 2018, aiming to create a new security system that addressed the chinks in WPA2’s armor. It was a success, but the problem was that support for the new network protection was slow to come.
